When most people think of bamboo furniture they think of rattan chairs and similar poorly constructed chairs. Luckily this is not true anymore although those types of chairs can still be found. Bamboo is light, looks great, and is flexible and strong enough to take a wide variety of shapes and forms.

Modern bamboo furniture is elegant in its design as well as being good for the environment. It is also strong, lightweight and can be combined with a wide variety of materials very easily. It can be incorporated into a steel table or be topped with glass. Any type of wood can be easily attached for a more interesting look.

Bamboo furniture covers everything from chairs and tables to beds and coffee tables. The designs and styles range from wild and crazy to mild or minimalist. They can be made to look antique, traditional, oriental, modern, and anything in between. They are typically more affordable than a similar hardwood version because the materials are renewable and readily available.
