Bamboo Fence

A bamboo fence can be constructed in hours instead of days with simple tools and twine. It is also completely renewable and very affordable. They are good looking, weather well, and last for years and years. They can be secured to existing chain link fence posts after the links have been removed turning a bad looking fence into one that people are proud of.

A bamboo fence can be purchased in a kit that simply has to be unrolled or the individual bamboo posts can be easily connected with wire or durable twine for a completely custom job. The possibilities are literally endless as the fence can be modified to support tomato plants and other vegetables.

Before building a bamboo fence make sure that the posts have been treated either with a sealant or boiled. The main issue is the starch that is in the interior of the bamboo, bugs love it. Boiling removes it while a good sealant protects it from bugs and water.
